This 2.5 hour workshop is an introduction to the benefits of slow yoga with specific practices that help combat the stresses of the modern world; depression, anxiety and fatigue.
Utilising breathing practices, yoga postures and meditation, this slow-paced flow is designed to balance your physical and mental strength and help you find long-lasting stability, clarity, and wellbeing.
It will also expand your capacity to move, breath, and live well into the future.

What is slow yoga and what are the benefits?
Slow yoga is a low-impact practice focusing on the breath, while mindfully moving through a pose.
Slow yoga is moving meditation.
Slow yoga focuses on proper alignment; decreasing injuries and increasing transformation.
Slow yoga decreases stress and encourages relaxation.
Slow yoga improves flexibility, supports muscle development and helps open up areas around the joints that are difficult to access (eg. hips and lower back)
Also, since it’s easier to let the mind wander during periods of physical stillness, slow yoga provides an opportunity to practice deep concentration while focusing on inhalations and exhalations.
This class is suitable for all levels, everybody is welcome. If you have any injuries or concerns, please let me know before class.
The workshop takes place in the beautiful Brown & Green: LIFE at Crystal Palace Park (Penge entrance.)
