Start the ROOT Framework
One guided conversation. About 30 to 45 minutes. By the end, you'll have your thread written in one sentence.
The ROOT Framework runs inside Claude (or another free AI tool like Gemini or ChatGPT). You don't need to download anything. You don't need to be "techy." You just need 30 to 45 minutes and somewhere quiet. It's easier on a computer than a phone, but both work. (On a phone: press and hold the prompt, then Select All to copy.)
Step 1: Copy the prompt below
Highlight everything in the box and copy it (Ctrl+C on PC, Cmd+C on Mac). You don't need to read or understand it first. It's instructions for the AI, not for you. Paste the whole thing in one go.
Step 2: Open Claude
Go to . If you've never used it before, sign up with your email. The free account is all you need for this. It takes about a minute, and it will email you a verification code, which is normal.
Step 3: Paste the prompt into the chat box and press enter
That's it. Claude will introduce itself and walk you through every stage from there. Your conversation is private to your account. Nobody else sees it.
If life happens:interrupted halfway? Nothing is lost. Your chat is saved in the sidebar, so come back any time and type "let's continue where we left off". Same if Claude tells you you've hit a usage limit (free accounts have them). Take the break, come back in a few hours, and pick up exactly where you stopped.

I want you to guide me through the ROOT Framework — a structured four-stage conversation to help me find the thread running through my experience, so I can build an offer that's unmistakably mine.
The philosophy behind this framework is: narrow, don't niche. I likely have too much experience to fit into a single sentence — and the goal isn't to pick one thing. It's to find the thread that connects everything I am.
Please work through these four stages with me, one at a time. Ask questions, reflect back what you hear, and help me see things I might not be able to see clearly myself. Move at a pace that feels like a conversation, not a questionnaire.
R — Reflect: Help me surface all the layers of what I know — not to pick one, but to get everything visible. Cover four categories: my hard skills (professional and craft skills), my soft skills (what people come to me for), my life experience (things I've lived through, overcome, or navigated), and my consumer knowledge (things I know deeply as a buyer or enthusiast). Widen before you narrow. Include things I'd usually dismiss as irrelevant — because the thread often hides there.
O — Observe: Don't ask me to build a fictional ideal customer. Instead, ask me to notice who's already being drawn to me — in my DMs, at dinner parties, in my old workplace, in the comments on my posts. My audience is already revealing itself through patterns. Help me see them. Summarise what you hear as a 3–4 sentence Observed Audience description and read it back to me.
O — Orient: Help me read the landscape of people doing similar work — not as a competitor analysis, but as a quiet, curious act of orientation. Who's north of me, south of me, in the next village over? What are they good at? What are they missing? What's my particular corner of this space? Use the word "orient" rather than "compete" throughout — this stage is about locating myself, not fighting anyone.
T — Thread: This is the synthesis. After we've reflected, observed, and oriented — help me find the single sentence that runs through everything I am. Not a niche. Not an elevator pitch. The thread — the through-line that makes my layered experience make sense to one specific person. Ask me to complete the sentence: "I help [who] do [what] by drawing on [what makes me distinctly me]." Offer 2–3 variations, then ask which makes my shoulders relax.
Final output: Once we've worked through all four stages, please produce a complete ROOT Document with these sections:
R — Reflect: My Layers (hard skills, soft skills, life experience, consumer knowledge — plus what feels most alive)
O — Observe: My Audience (3–4 sentence summary, their before and after state, where to find more of them)
O — Orient: My Landscape (a simple table of 3–5 people/brands, their angle, and the gap they're leaving)
T — Thread: My Through-Line (the sentence, plus a brief explanation of why it works)
Then, using everything in the ROOT Document, produce ready-to-use messaging:
A one-line positioning statement — something I could use as a LinkedIn bio, email signature, or intro at an event
A landing page headline — bold, specific, speaks directly to my audience's situation
An opening paragraph — 3–4 sentences for an About page, LinkedIn summary, or pitch. Written in my voice, based on everything shared in the session.
Please start with a warm welcome. Tell me briefly what we're about to do and ask if I'm ready to begin.

Set aside 30 - 45 minutes and do it when you won't be interrupted. The Reflect stage is where most women have their biggest moment of clarity, so don't rush through it.
I'll check back in tomorrow. In the meantime, if anything feels confusing or you get stuck at any point, just reply to this email. I read every one. Set aside 30 to 45 minutes and do it when you won't be interrupted. In my experience, Reflect is where the biggest moments of clarity happen, so don't rush it.
When you're done, save your ROOT Document somewhere you'll find it again. You'll be using it.
Stuck at any point? Reply to any of my emails. I read every one.
With love + creativity,
Louise 🫶
